| I wrote here last week asking about clutch switch wiring: [ http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/technical/view/1100850/Problem-starting--on-Clutch-switch.html ] Every once in a while it seemed as though I didn't push my clutch in far enough to start it. I'd turn the key, the fuel pump would pressurize, I'd go to crank and absolutely nothing. No battery click, no whirring from the starter like the solenoid didn't engage, nothing. I would re-depress the clutch and she'd fire right up. Last week one day I had to do it twice. I took my wife out, showing her how to drive it. (ugh?) (She bucked it a few times of course.) When I had her go to start it up, the Z refused. (I would have too?) No matter how many times I tried, nothin. I even depressed the clutch switch by hand. Hell, I'da bypassed it right then if I could get the damn connector off! We bump-started it and went on our merry way. Next day I went to go to work, (Alligator jumper in hand) and she fired right up! Did so for the next 3 days. ---Today? NO WAY in hell would she roll over. I tried using the alligator jumper, squeezing them down as best I could. (Maybe it didn't connect fully? In any case, I have to ask, bad clutch switch, problem with Clifford Tazor II alarm, bad spot in the starter, bad connection to starter? Ideas? Thanks!
